I have had the privilege of knowing Jeff for about 5 years now. It didn't take long for me to notice how much of a romantic guy he was, and still is. I remember when he brought Lacy around for the first time. We could all see how nervous he was before she arrived, but there was a giddy/seriousness alongside his nerves. It was evident that he was in love with her already.
As months passed and the word "wedding" was being tossed around, I wasn't surprised when Jeff asked me to photograph his proposal. It is such a wonderful thing when people get engaged and I get the chance to know them and hear their story as a photographer. But, it's a completely different story when one of your clients is someone you've known for years.
As I crouched behind a tree on a warm September evening, I couldn't help but shake from the inside out of joyfulness and a bit of nervousness as Jeff got down on one knee.
From their proposal came the question of Engagement + Wedding photography. As some of you may know, I have been out of the wedding industry for a little over a year now due to juggling more than I could handle. But, after witnessing their proposal and delivering images to Jeff and Lacy that they couldn't stop thanking me for . . . I caved. I'll admit it. They helped re-ignite that spark, that joy I get from photographing moments that are monumental in someone's life.
This, is Jeff + Lacy
Future Helget's, I cannot thank you enough for asking me to be there to document one of the biggest days of your life. I am beyond thrilled for December 8th to arrive!
