Life, A Little Slower // Day, Minnesota

I've been enjoying life a little slower lately. Waddling from room to room and watching my belly grow every day... it's sinking in that I actually am going to have a baby. But honestly, it is still hard to wrap my head around. A baby?! What!? There's my confession to the world.

I have been lucky enough to spend a lot of my extra time with my Mom. Wether it's working with her at her boutique, spending random hours together during the days, having lunches and dinners together, all while laughing and reminiscing on the past, present, and thinking about what the future holds.

Today we took the annual trip to the Day Fish Company in Day, MN to pick up the Lutefisk for our family Christmas this upcoming weekend. Now it's not my first pick for destinations, but it is an event that goes back in the Bowles Christmas tradition. Ever since I can remember, my Mom makes the trek to Day, MN to pick up the smelly lutefisk. She cooks it to perfection for the select few to enjoy during our extended family Christmas. Nope, I am not one of those select few. I actually dislike all fish, but I put up with the smell because it's tradition! Who doesn't love a good Holiday tradition?

Merry Christmas to you and yours!
